On Apr. 27, 2014, accompanied by officials from Chinese Ministry of
Foreign Affairs and Fujian Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, a group of
journalists from ten African countries visited Xiamen-based bus manufacturer
King Long. Josias Sehlehla Charle, Chairman of South Africa National Journalist
Association, was leading the visiting group.
During
their visits, Mr. Abodullr li, the Sales Manager, responsible for King Long’s overseas
sales in Africa made a detailed introduction of King Long and focused on showing
the company’s sales achievements in African market.
So far, King Long buses and coaches have made their presence in a number of
countries in Africa. Winning a good recognition, the bus maker is holding the
lion share of some nations. For example, the company has been exporting its
light-weight buses to South Africa for seven consecutive years, selling 10,000
units in total. In Angola, the total number of King Long buses has reached
1,000 units. In northern Africa, Algeria has imported nearly 5,000 units King
Long buses for the past ten years. In western Africa, King Long has exported
3,000 light-weight buses to Nigeria and over 500 units of city buses and travel
coaches to Senegal. In addition, King Long has made a fairly number large of
export to Kenya, Ethiopia, and Tanzania. Along with its market expansion in
Africa, King Long is now working closely with local customers in the developing
continent so as to further strengthen their ties and create a win-win
situation.
The
group of visitors showed keen interest in King Long’s products and asked
specific questions concerning the company’s after-sale services, major market
expansion, its operation and production capabilities, etc. The leader of the
journalists, Josias Sehlehla Charle also spoke highly of King Long’s
achievements in Africa and expressed his hope that more buses could arrive in
the African continent so as to serve the local people.
The visiting group of journalists also paid a visit to King Long’s coach
assembly workshop and its displaying hall of the company’s light-weight buses.
