On September 20th, "2012 Global CV Forum" was held in IAA exhibition center. CSO of King Long Overseas Department Xie, Weiguo was invited to give a keynote speech, sharing King Long ten-year experience and achievements in European market, and the development strategy and goals in the future as well.
As the first China bus manufacturer engaged in overseas marketing, King Long exported buses from 2000 and took the lead in entering European market. It has been ten years since King Long exported 82 city buses to Malta in 2003. In 2011, King Long exported over 700 buses to Europe. There are over 2500 King Long buses used in European market, including 12 EU countries, such as UK and Italy, etc and 21 European countries.
Xie, Weiguo said the improvement in products, service and brand brought King Long the great achievements in Europe. In Malta, 70% of the city buses are from King Long; in Italy, King Long exported 200 tourist buses last year, ranking No.2; in UK, over 100 King Long buses served the London Olympic Games and 10 XMQ6127 buses were appointed by SAMSUNG as franchised service buses.
Phased success in European market is just a beginning for young King Long, which, in Xie, Weiguo's view, is still not comparable in production and marketing to the first-class brands in European market, mainly in reliability and stability of products and service, etc.
Nowadays, global competition has occurred to auto industry. When talking about the next decade, Xie, Weiguo pointed out that, with solid foundation in European market, King Long was negotiating with some large transport operators to open a new market and King Long would devote itself to local production and service in European to provide better service.
