In Busworld Kortrijk 2011, KINGLONG are officially releases launching two new models to the European market: XMQ6120AGD, a three-door low-floor city-bus and XMQ6129Y, an HD (High Deck) luxury coach for long-distance journey’s.
KINGLONG took the lead in entering the EU market in 2005 and currently 8 models have been approved by EU WVTA.
The recent sales reveal the momentum of KINGLONG in expanding the EU market. In 2009, the number of bus and coaches exported to EU was 131 and in 2010 reach 235. It is predicted that the annual export volume to EU will exceed 500, an increase of 100% compared with the same period last year.

The Bi-annual Busworld Kortrijk make its opening ceremony in Belgium on Oct 20 2011 and this is the fourth time that KINGLONG, a renowned Chinese bus and coach manufacturer, participates in succession. As one of the largest bus and coach manufacturer and exporter in China, KINGLONG took the lead in entering the EU market in 2005 and currently 8 models covering public transportation, tourism and long-distance transportation have been approved by EU WVTA. Today the release of these two new models manifests their willingness of catering to the needs of EU clients and the determination of accelerating their pace into EU market.

XMQ6120AGD took KINGLONG 18 months for develop, it is a monocoque and a double leaf three-door low floor city-bus designed to cater to mainstream European public transportation markets. This type of Low Floor bus, with a simple and modern appearance, conforms and blends perfectly with the European cities. The bus is equipped with an 8.9 Litre Cummins Euro Ⅴ engine (ISL8.9E5280B), a low-carbon and environmentally-friendly drive line, VOITH automatic transmission system which can reduce the intensified tension of the driver, ZF air suspension system (with two air bags in front and four in at rear), and WABCO ECAS height adjusting system which not only brings a comfortable riding experience but also makes it more convenient to the elderly and children when boarding on and off the bus. The monocoque structure can effectively enhance the body intensity, reducing of weight with better fuel consumption. With the side tower engine and the low-floor design, this bus offers to the passengers a wide space inside. The three-double-leaf-door design, greatly improves the speed of getting on and off the bus. Besides, the reasonable combination of the full-view black glass, the integrated air passage of aluminum alloy combined with stainless steel handrail and the seat fabric with individual style, creates a comfortable and modern interior room.
XMQ6120AGD
The XMQ6129Y, an updated product of XMQ6127 12 meter coach, is the major product promoted by KINGLONG in the tourist coach and long-distance passenger transportation markets in EU. Compared with XMQ6127, this models has made improvements in appearance, design, equipment and technology; therefore, the overall competitive advantage has been greatly upgraded. XMQ6129Y, with 12.2-meter body length and a maximum 55 seats, is equipped with Cummins ISM11E5 440 engine which conforms to the Euro V emission standard, ZF manual or automatic transmission system which ensures excellent performance, ZF independent suspension structure, WABCO ECAS height adjusting system, VDO CAN bus system and EBS (electronically controlled brake system). Collectively, driving this particular vehicle has become safer and more comfortable. Meanwhile, it adopts many KINGLONG self-developed technologies such as optimizing design technology of engine accessories, weight-reduction technology and optimizing match technology of power train, thus this type of coach is excellent in saving fuel, reducing noise and protecting environment. Many harmonized devices such as the advanced audiovisual entertainment system, the integrated water dispenser and coffee machine, the fridge and sleeping bed for driver can ensure that both driver and passengers will have a comfortable driving and riding experience. As leader of the Chinese bus and coaches in the overseas market, KINGLONG has proved itself in accelerated its pace in expanding the international market in recent years. So far, the products of KINGLONG has covered Asia, Africa, Australia, Europe and South America and altogether supplied more than 200,000 bus and coaches to over 8,000 transportation service providers in over 80 countries and regions worldwide, thus KINGLONG has become one of the largest bus and coach brand in the global market. Though the EU is not the largest international market for KINGLONG, in Samuel Zhu’s opinion, it is an important strategy to constantly expand the EU market. There are two reasons to support his opinion: first, the EU, the most developed area for global bus and coach and their acceseories industry which applies the strictest standard, thus joining in the competition with EU brands, and offering the service designed to the EU clients can drastically improve the technology and overall quality of KINGLONG products; secondly, entering into the EU market is prominent in upgrading the product image and promoting the sales in other markets.
With 7 years of efforts, taking a lead among all other Chinese bus and coach manufacturers, KINGLONG has made great achievements in the EU market and showed its rising tendency. Since the approval of VCA and entering into the EU market back in 2005, KINGLONG has exported its products to over 12 different EU countries including UK, France, Germany, Italy, Romania, Bulgaria, Austria, Sweden, Slovenia, Hungary, Cyprus and Malta. Though the expansion is remarkable, KINGLONG still need to keep sober, admitting that KINGLONG is still on the learning curve. Mr. Samuel Zhu said: "We will not deny nor fear the gap, for we will take a positive attitude to participate and learn the advanced bus and coach-making technology and experience from the European counterparts so that we can continuously improve our technology. Currently, the sales volume of KINGLONG bus and coach is not outsized in the EU market, therefore, we will accelerate the development of new products catering to the EU market and further improve the sales and service network in the EU, thus meeting the diverse needs of EU clients with better rate of cost performance and more adaptive products.”

As to the future performance of KINGLONG in the EU market, Mr. Samuel Zhu was confident: "We have established a relatively good marketing channel and service network in EU, through which we can obtain stable orders and gradually expand marketing scope.
